I found a cheap price for a Canon SX410 camera with a 40X optical zoom on Amazon. I figured the 40X zoom would be fun to play with on vacation.
Here are three shots off of our condo balcony with no zoom, 20X zoom amd 40X zoom. They came out pretty nice:
